"Of course," he nods. "Many of the phases are easier with two people, so I would welcome your assistance at any time." He misses having a partner in such things. Someone committed fully to a project with him, staying up through the late nights together, struggling with problems as a unit, and celebrating successes together. Perhaps that is a once in a lifetime thing to find.

He's pondering this as the door is held open for him.

Okay, so yeah, this is definitely a date. Viktor has never been planned for or spoiled quite like this. He's never even been on a real date. He's gobsmacked. He almost laughs, a breathy incredulous sound.
